Alternate line calculator
Books sell alternate spreads and totals with a bigger margin than the main line. Enter the main line to see a fair price for every alternate around it, then type in your book's price for the one you want to see how much it's really costing you.

How it works
The main line is where the book thinks the game is a coin flip. Every alternate line is a question about how often games with that main line ended on each exact score. The calculator answers it from real games and turns each answer into a fair price: the odds at which the bet would break even.
Moving a line across 3 or 7 in the NFL changes the price far more than moving it across 5 or 9. That's where alternate lines are most often mispriced in both directions.
Based on how often real games with a similar closing line ended on each exact score: 4,440 NFL games (2010 on, closing lines from nflverse) and 8,147 college games (2016 on). Every price here leaves out the book's margin, so a fair price is the break-even point, not a promise. Past results don't predict future ones. 21+.
